Sponsors Make DCPAS Programs Possible

Members Receive CPE at No Additional Cost
If you’ve read earlier installments of this newsletter, or if you’ve been around me or any of the DCPAS board members, then you’ve heard about the seventeen hours of free CPE offered by the Society in the current fiscal year. This “Member Appreciation Series” kicked off in August with a one hour presentation at the Marriot Quorum in Addison. In the next three months, the Society will offer its members two additional four-hour sessions at no additional cost. The series capstone event, to be held in May, is our annual free CPE day, a multi-track, 8-credit-hour seminar. If you have never attended free CPE day, you’ve missed a great opportunity. I am very proud of the lineup of speakers and topics that the Society has offered over the years, and we intend to continue this tradition of excellence this year.
Members and Sponsors Work Together to Make It Happen
A substantial portion of the cost for these events is funded by sponsorships. DCPAS members have volunteered their time and energy to recruit and build strong relationships with our sponsors over the years. The staff at the DCPAS office has worked diligently to ensure our sponsors and members receive the maximum benefit from their involvement in our free CPE offerings, and the effort has paid off in the form of ongoing commitments from sponsors and unparalleled value for members.
You Can Help Make it Even Better
Information about sponsorships is easily accessed on the Society’s website. There, potential sponsors will find a brochure available for download, and a short video featuring the comments of previous years’ sponsors. In addition, I am happy to answer any questions from potential sponsors, and the staff at the DCPAS office will work closely with them to ensure the best possible return on their investment. The previous years’ events have been outstanding, and we expect this track record of success to attract a great deal of return sponsorship. However, we want to continue to improve on the benefits of membership in the DCPAS, and for this reason, it is important that we continue to grow the level of sponsorship. If you think about the vendor, customer and other relationships you have developed over the years, I’ll bet you can identify a number of potential sponsors for free CPE offerings. I encourage you to refer those potential sponsors to the DCPAS. You can do so with the confidence that their investment will be worthwhile, and that their involvement will enhance the benefits of membership in the DCPAS.
