Course Description: : Yes, the times are changing, especially in the world of compilations and reviews. Last Spring the AICPA Accounting and Review Services Committee (ARSC) issued an exposure draft of a substantial rewrite of the codification of Statements on Standards for Accounting and Review Services (SSARS). This exposure draft represented the most extensive revisions to these standards since the first SSARS was issued in December 1978. On November 10, 11 and 12, the ARSC will meet to vote on the final standard.
Objective: This seminar will focus on the new standard and how it will affect your practice. Be among the first to learn how your world is changing.

Course Description: Ask yourself the following questions: What will my spouse or immediate heirs do with my practice if I die or become disabled? How can you preserve the value of your professional accounting practice, which may be the largest asset in your estate? This course is based on the book authored by John A. Eads, CPA, Past President of the Dallas CPA Society and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Objective: The speaker will explain how you can ensure the continuity of your practice with a practice continuation agreement in the event of death, disability or retirement. He will explain the process utilized in the transfer of your practice to a successor CPA or CPA firm once one of the triggering events take place.

Course Description: The speakers will discuss the details of the 2010 Roth IRA Conversion Rules and outline their application to your tax practice. The session will provide ideas about who will benefit most from the opportunity. They will also provide the information needed for tax practitioners to have a value added conversation with affluent clients in the coming tax season. The urgency of reviewing this issue with your clients in 2010 will be covered.
Objective: Participants will gain a working knowledge of the 2010 Roth Conversion Rules and learn how to apply them effectively in their tax practice.
