FINANCIAL AID FOR THE FUTURE
From public schools to universities. . .
Make a difference for area teens that will last a lifetime!
The Dallas Regional Chamber has partnered through a pilot project with 2 area school districts - Dallas and Carrollton-Farmers Branch - businesses, community and faith-based organizations, and area higher education institutions to schedule 5 Financial Aid for the Future events. Our goal for 2010 is to help 450 students and families with filling out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
We estimate at least 175 volunteers are needed to support the scheduled 2010 Financial Aid for the Future events. Your volunteer support is a crucial element to ensure the success of the events. We greatly appreciate your time and interest in volunteering with this program!
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS
o No previous experience required.
o Attend one 2-hour training session provided by Texas Guaranty (TG).
o Commit to support at least one Financial Aid for the Future event. Please see training and event dates.

Sat Feb 27 8:30-12:30 Location: R. L. Turner High School, C-FB ISD
Sat Mar 6 8:30-12:30 Location: Townview High School, Dallas ISD
*Please note that all 22 high schools in Dallas ISD will participate at one of the locations listed above. Since this is our first year, students who participate will be invited by their school's counselor. We have asked each high school in Dallas ISD to invite 20 of their seniors who would benefit the most from this program.
