IT’S NOT TOO LATE - To sign Up for the Love for Kids Christmas Party
All of the toys collected at the Margarita Ball will be distributed to the more than 4,000 children who will attend the Love for Kids Christmas Party on Saturday, December 9 at the Circle R Ranch in Flower Mound. The Dallas CPA Society needs 90 volunteers for this event. Volunteers need to arrive at the Circle R Ranch by 8:30am. A volunteer party is held following the children's departure at 1pm. Dallas CPA Society Special Holiday Gathering
Join us at the Dallas CPA Society Special Holiday Gathering at the Crowne Plaza Hotel located at 7800 Alpha Rd. in Dallas at 6pm on Tuesday, December 19, 2006. If you can, please bring a toy or gently worn coat for a child! These items will be given to Love for Kids, Inc. for distribution to underprivileged children.
Mark your calendar now to enjoy holiday festivities with your fellow Dallas CPA Society members on December 19! The monthly free CPE session will precede the holiday gathering at 4:00pm at the DCPAS office.

Florence Shapiro Scholarship
On September 26, 2006, the Dallas CPA Society in conjunction with the TSCPA announced the establishment of the Florence Shapiro Scholarship. This scholarship was set up to honor Senator Florence Shapiro for her efforts toward improving the Texas education system. The scholarship will be awarded to a deserving accounting student in time for the Spring 2007 semester. Tax-deductible contributions are being collected through the end of the year.
