 Welcome to 2007! I remember as a child having to write a paper about what I thought life would be like during the next millennium. That I would be a CPA writing about upcoming events of the Dallas CPA Society never entered my mind. Life certainly takes strange twists and turns.
The year 2007 is jam-packed with activities. First and foremost, put Tuesday evening, January 30th on your calendar. This is the DCPAS annual meeting of members. Free CPE Day Coming For Dallas CPA Society Members on February 20, 2007

Florence Shapiro Scholarship
On September 26, 2006, the Dallas CPA Society in conjunction with the TSCPA announced the establishment of the Florence Shapiro Scholarship. This scholarship was set up to honor Senator Florence Shapiro for her efforts toward improving the Texas education system. The scholarship will be awarded to a deserving accounting student in time for the Spring 2007 semester. Tax-deductible contributions are being collected through the end of the year. Send your contribution, designated for the "Florence Shapiro Scholarship", to Accounting Education Foundation of the TSCPA, c/o TSCPA, 14651 Dallas Parkway, Ste 700, Dallas, TX 75254.
