Chairman's Message
When I was just starting my career in accounting I worked for a firm that was growing and had very dynamic leaders. One of those leaders was Bill Vaught. At that time he was the immediate past president of the Dallas Chapter of CPAs. It was then that I first got involved with other CPAs. I have been involved, at some level, with the Dallas CPA Society since first being encouraged to be involved by Bill Vaught.

CPE Committee Looking For A "Few Good Men And Women"
The 2007-08 CPE Committee, chaired by Ken Horwitz, is looking for volunteers to help plan the 2007-08 CPE programming for the DCPAS.  A robust and vigorous programming year will be planned.  The Chapter is looking for members to assist with specific tasks in this regard.  There will not be a lot of committee meetings.  Members who are knowledgeable in tax, accounting and auditing, and other topics that are of interest to both members in private practice and industry are invited to join the committee.

The first meeting is set for Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at 4:30pm at the Chapter office – 12700 Park Central Drive #1000If you wish to be a part of the committee and attend the first meeting, please contact Gala Rowlett at the Chapter office – 972/960-8311 – or growlett@cpadallas.org.  We look forward to you joining the committee!
