 What a great time to be a CPA in Dallas Texas! There is so much going on here in Dallas. At the DCPAS we have plans for around 20 CPE offerings as well as other exciting events over the next year for you, our members. If you don’t see something that you want to be a part of then you may not be on the right page. If there is something going on and you want to have the DCPAS involved, just let us know. Partners in Education Committee to Host Volunteer Training Session
The Partners in Education committee will host a training session led by Donna Fritz from TSCPA for volunteers who speak at high schools about accounting career opportunities. Speaking information and handouts will be available for those who attend. The training session is planned for Tuesday, September 25, 2007, from 11:30am-1:30pm at the Dallas CPA Society office located at 12700 Park Central Drive #1000. MEET THE TROOPS
The reviews are in and it was a hit! There was happiness, sadness and indescribable feelings when approximately 25 CPAs and their families went to DFW on the morning of Saturday, August 18. We met early to join the crowd welcoming home 140 soldiers from Iraq. We clapped, shook hands and some of our female CPAs got a hug from the returning soldiers. Although we were there to thank the soldiers for their service, they were most grateful for the warm welcome they received...
