Chairman's Message
 Each year during the first month or two of the year, the Dallas CPA Society joins with the Dallas Morning News to host a community service project known as the Tax Hotline. At this event, Dallas CPA volunteers receive phone calls from all over the Dallas area on a wide range of tax related topics. The questions vary from year to year, but they are always interesting but not overly challenging for the CPA volunteers that answer their tax questions. Q. Doc, I remember my grandmother telling me to always take cod liver oil on a daily basis. What ever happened to cod liver oil?
A. Good question. Many baby boomers remember their mom or their grandmother sometimes forcing us to swallow a teaspoon of cod liver oil each day. “It is good for you”, she would say. I do not know why we got away from such a good habit. I suspect that in part it was the horrible taste.
