Chairman's Message: Dallas CPA Society Hosts Largest Conference in Its 79-Year History
On May 2nd, the Dallas CPA Society hosted the largest educational conference in its 79-year history. Over 1,000 people, including over 200 representatives from the nonprofit community in Dallas, attended the 2008 Free CPE Day, at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas. The Society has received a tremendous amount of positive feedback from the conference and plans are already underway for the 2009 Free CPE Day!
Hosting a conference for over 1,000 people is no easy task and many people deserve special recognition for their work in planning the 2008 Free CPA Day. First and foremost, the success of this conference would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our staff. Executive Director Margaret Campbell and her team consisting of Gala Rowlett, Farlene Powell, Carolina Palma, and Veronica Garza worked around the clock during the months leading up to the conference. I am honored and proud to work with such a dedicated team.
