Member Appreciation Day is Almost Here – You Must Register to Attend
If you haven’t already done so, be sure to register for Member Appreciation Day. This year’s event is scheduled for Tuesday, May 4th and will offer eight hours of CPE. Members can attend for only $25, which helps defray the cost of food and parking.
Once again, the committee, chaired by Ken Horwitz this year, has recruited top speakers and arranged a schedule of timely and interesting topics. Our keynote speaker for the luncheon, sponsored by Jackson Walker, is Tom Ochsenschlager. In his role as Vice President, Taxation, for the AICPA, Mr. Ochsenschlager works with the AICPA Tax Executive Committee in developing AICPA tax policy positions, shaping and communicating the Institute's initiatives in tax matters, and providing tax products and services for members. He is responsible for interacting with the national office of the Internal Revenue Service and the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Treasury for Tax Policy, and works closely with Congressional tax committees on tax-related issues....

Dallas CPA Society Golf Tournament
May 24
 The 9th annual DCPAS golf tournament will be played on Monday, May 24, 2010, at Gentle Creek Golf Club in Prosper, Texas. Join your colleagues and friends for lots of fun, prizes, awards, good food, and more. Prizes will be awarded for closest to the pin, longest drive, straightest drive, worst dressed golfer, etc.
Registration begins at 10:00am, box lunch at 11:00am, shot gun start at 12Noon, and dinner at 5:00pm.
Individual entry is $75.00 for members. Non-member individual entry fee is $200.00 (unaccompanied by a member). Member team entry fee is $270.00.
