A New Board

 After a very successful DCPAS golf tournament, under the direction of Kirby Jackson’s capable leadership, where over 86 CPAs and their guests participated in golf and prizes, the Chapter launched a new fiscal year. ViewPoint Bank and Trinet are congratulated for their financial support of the tournament.

The year 2009-10 activities were conducted with sound financial policies that members should expect. Many thanks to Mitch Perry and the 2009-10 Board of Directors for a very successful year!
The Dallas CPA Society staff and officers are planning the transition for another active year for Chapter members. The first class of the Leadership Development Academy will continue to conduct monthly sessions through November when the second class will be inaugurated for monthly sessions beginning June 2011. The Chapter plans to continue the very successful Free CPA Day and offer two four-hour sessions in November and January...

SUSAN G. KOMEN FOR THE CURE SEEKING VOUNTEERS
 Are you a retired CPA? Are you looking for something to do in your spare time to help a good cause? Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists, working together to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures.
We are looking for a few good retired CPAs to assist in compiling the year end workbooks for the audit process this summer. Applicants must be able to use learn to pull financial data from our accounting system – PeopleSoft. Training will be provided, but basic computer knowledge is a necessity.
