Chair Update for Chapter Members

 Over 25 DCPAS members attended the TSCPA Annual Board of Directors meeting in San Diego. Excellent presentations were made on the changing demographics of the membership of the Texas Society, and the many political issues to be considered by the Texas Legislature which has its biennial session this winter. Our DCPAS Political Action Committee (PAC), under the leadership of Bob Driegert, has begun fundraising and plans for public forums for our members.
At the TSCPA Annual Meeting, three of our Chapter members were honored for their many contributions to our profession:

TSCPA Leadership Nominations for Year 2011-2012
The TSCPA Nominations Committee needs input for key leadership positions. TSCPA members can submit suggestions for next year's Executive Board, directors-at-large (Board of Directors) and Texas members for the American Institute of CPAs Council. The deadline for sending nominations is Aug. 16.
